APRIL 4, 2010
Fine food, wine, art and entertainment come together in the style of a traditional country féte every Easter Sunday in the beautiful seaside village of Leigh.
Join us for:
Gourmet Food
Come sample the best the area has to offer. Local lamb cooked on the spit, Fresh Lee Fish Burgers, and the return of the popular Pirate Seafood Gumbo. Inside the hall, the Carnival Café offers so much more than the traditional Devonshire teas, with fine coffee and a variety of baked goods to enjoy, fresh pikelets, scones with homemade jams and lashings of fresh whipped cream and of course great coffee will be on hand.
Wine and Art Auction
Our local artists and wine makers have a great deal in common: they create works of the highest standard. It is diverse and colourful and many within their ranks are internationally acclaimed. Fine art and fine wine have been generously donated and will be exhibited and auctioned in the Leigh Community Hall from 2pm on Sunday afternoon.
Carnival Fun
There are always plenty of fun rides and activities for kids of all ages at the fantastic Leigh Carnival. For the grown-ups: it wouldn't be a carnival without the quickfire raffles! Local businesses have generously donated fabulous prizes, including a vast amount of fresh seafood from our loyal sponsor, the Leigh Fisheries.
Look for the return of the super Leigh Fisheries GIANT ICE SLIDE. There’s nothing like it on a hot summer day!
Live Entertainment
On our festival stage we feature a variety of local and national talent and a diversity of musical styles for your enjoyment. Check back here for updates.
Volunteer/Donate
We strive to make the Leigh Carnival and Turf 'n' Surf Tri-Sport Family Challenge an exciting celebration of our whole community. It's a big job and we are always looking for extra help. If you can help us make Carnival even better please get in touch with us, we'd love to hear from you!
